Description

. Primary roles and functions, knowledge of the physical structures involved and the neural pathways that link systems will be reviewed. This course will review health conditions and impairments of these systems and the impact of impairments on activity limitations and participation restrictions and the rehabilitative process. Application of concepts and knowledge will be linked to clinical problems and case studies from a therapist's perspective through the study of the sensory systems, motor learning, neurobehavioral presentations and an introduction to neurological assessment. Case studies will be used both in class and in online discussions to facilitate the integration of neuroscience theory and clinical application of concepts. This course requires student participation and completion of assignments using the College's distance learning technology.
