Methods/Materials Teach SWD B-12

Description

This course requires the study and analysis of effective teaching strategies for the education of students with disabilities. Students will identify strengths and discuss methods of individualizing instruction and collaboration. They will examine learning processes, lesson and unit planning across the curriculum, motivation, communication, and classroom management in order to stimulate and sustain student interest, cooperation, and achievement. Students will discuss effective ways of partnering with parents and collaborating with other staff members. 15 hours of field observation required.
