Course Description
This course introduces students to basic concepts, principles, and methods of biostatistics and its critical role in the field of nursing, community health, and public health. This course examines probability, random variation, statistical probability distributions, descriptive techniques to summarize data, and statistical methods used for data inference, use of analytical software, and database creation and management. This course also examines data analysis and the appropriate statistical tests needed to answer specific research questions and interpretation of results based on statistical analyses.
